The safety issue is not a few metres of walking. It is repeatedly placing drivers in collision zones, increasing stress and leaving critical controls to individual technique.

CONVENTIONAL EXPOSURE

Throwing and retrieving a full-length strap can take the driver up to 6 m / 20 ft out from the side of the truck. During loading and unloading, that repeatedly places them in driveways, roadways and areas shared with forklifts or other mobile plant.

Conventional ratchets leave the driver to gather, roll and tie off the excess webbing. The method and consistency can vary between operators, creating a risk that loose tails unwind or are not secured correctly for transit.

The specialised reel stores the unused webbing as part of the system. This removes most of the improvised tie-off task and supports a more consistent fleet procedure.
